This innovative program provides palliative patients with earlier access to the care and facilities of the North Shore Hospice. Patients make weekly visits to the Hospice for symptom management, care, support, family respite and fellowship. The Day Program is fully financed by the North Shore Hospice Society.

Named after a long-time champion of hospice palliative patients, the “Bill Fund” provides immediate financial support for palliative patients and families in need. Grants are given to meet the often unexpected costs that arise during palliative care and are not covered by provincial health care.

The NS Hospice Society sponsors the annual Honour A Life community memorial, offers regular education events for the community and we’re available to make presentations to any religious, community or service group on the North Shore.
Our website provides 24 hour access to news, information and an Advice feature written by a local palliative care physician.
