Confronting the Issue of Death can Lead to a Better Life

The Vancouver Sun's editorial for December 21, 2010 referred to the recent study of palliative care professionals and volunteers that demonstrates that being around dying people helped them to understand the meaning of life, to become more spiritual, and to come to terms with their own morality.

Hospice and palliative care aims to improve both life and death for the seriously ill.  As suggested by the Sun's editorial, the Lions Gate Hospice Society advocates for providing the necessary support for those in our communities who are dying and their caregivers.
